When you upload a PDF, Excel file, or other document to any SuiteGuide tool, the following happens:
Your file is read entirely within your web browser using JavaScript libraries (such as PDF.js for PDFs and SheetJS for spreadsheets). This processing happens on your device. Your raw file is never uploaded to SuiteGuide's servers or transmitted over the internet.
The library extracts the text content from your file in memory. Only this extracted text — not your original file — is used for the next step.
The extracted text is sent to our serverless function, which forwards it to the Anthropic API for analysis. This text is used solely to generate your response. Per Anthropic's usage policies, data submitted via the API is not used to train AI models and is not retained after the response is returned.
Your analysis results are returned to your browser and displayed. Our serverless function is stateless — it processes the request and immediately shuts down, writing nothing to any database or persistent storage.
